Woodstock Select Mattress FAQ | Who, What, Why & Where
Before we dive into the different mattress models, let’s answer a few basic FAQs shoppers ask us about our Woodstock Select mattresses:
What: Woodstock Select is our in-house brand for a variety of different products, including mattresses, bases and foundations. Officially launched in late 2023, there are currently 6 Woodstock Select mattress models available including foam and hybrid models, each with 3 available comfort levels. All Woodstock Select mattresses are available in Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen and King sizes.
Who: On the Woodstock Select mattress displays in our showroom, customers may see our Woodstock Select logo right next to another one that reads “Sherwood Bedding”. Understandably, this leads them to ask, “Who is Sherwood Bedding?” Well, even though you may not recognize the Sherwood brand name, you’ll certainly know their parent company Tempur+Sealy, along with their sister brands, Sealy, Tempur-Pedic and Stearns & Foster.
Sherwood Bedding is our mattress manufacturing partner and is an independent division of Tempur+Sealy. They specialize in working with retailers like us to customize and craft our very own mattress products. With the help of the good folks over at Sherwood, our own mattress experts have put their brains together to design a mattress lineup that uniquely fits the wants and needs of our customers. With Woodstock Select, you can rest easy knowing that you’re getting a quality product from a respected industry manufacturer, not an unknown fly-by-night bargain brand.
Why: As stated above, we wanted to tailor mattresses to fit the specific needs of the shoppers in our showrooms while providing them excellent value. Through our partnership with Sherwood Bedding, we’re able to offer our customers feature-packed Woodstock Select mattresses, at an incredible value, with minimal big brand markup.
Where: Only at Woodstock Furniture & Mattress Outlet! Remember, our manufacturing partners craft these mattresses to our own unique and exact specifications. So, you won’t find these exclusive mattresses anywhere else. Comparing The Cloudland 2.0 Foam Mattress & Providence Hybrid Mattress, Exclusively From Woodstock Furniture & Mattress Outlet
We currently offer shoppers two Woodstock Select mattresses, the Cloudland 2.0 Foam Mattress and the Providence Hybrid Mattress. Both are available in 3 different comfort levels. Below, we’ll briefly compare and contrast their construction, features, feel, and the ideal sleeper for each.
But First, What Do They Have In Common?
These 2 mattresses and their various models actually have a lot in common. So, let’s start there.
On the surface, both the Cloudland 2.0 Foam and Providence Hybrid mattress include performance stretch-knit fabric covers featuring cooling yarns. These yarns help the mattress maintain a cool-to-the-touch surface perfect for drifting off to sleep.
Additionally, all mattress models also feature a gel memory foam layer that helps cradle your body and relieve pressure points – all while keeping you cooler than regular ol’ memory foam.
Finally, each and every mattress includes a layer of copper-infused Perpetua latex foam for advanced pressure relief, responsiveness, and heat diffusion. Thanks to this layer, each of these mattresses feel more buoyant and responsive than a run-of-the-mill memory foam mattress.

The Cloudland 2.0 Foam Mattress
To start with, the Cloudland 2.0 Foam Mattress is available in Firm, Soft, and Soft Pillow Top comfort levels. While both the Cloudland 2.0 Foam and Providence mattresses feature the same cool-to-the-touch performance fabric, gel-memory foam, and copper-infused Perpetua latex layer we mentioned above, the Cloudland 2.0 Foam Mattress includes a number of other features including advanced air-cushioning memory foam top layers and a firm poly foam layers at the base.
All three of the Cloudland models - Firm, Soft and Soft Pillow Top - share the same overall design. That being said, the density and amount of premium air-cushioning memory foam varies depending on which comfort level you choose. Remember that cool-to-the-touch cover? Well, on the Cloudland 2.0 Foam Mattress, it is actually quilted with a super-soft foam. In fact, the Soft Pillow Top Cloudland 2.0 Foam Mattress adds an additional inch-and-a-half of premium comfy goodness right there in the pillow top. To our knowledge, this is completely unique as nobody else in the market has a pillow top gel memory foam mattress.
But that’s enough technical speak. Who are these mattresses a good fit for? Are you interested in a comfy, body-contouring gel memory foam mattress that sleeps a little cooler than average and has a little more bounce than a regular old memory foam mattress? More importantly, are you looking for a ton of value at an honest price? If so, Cloudland 2.0 may be the right mattress for you. However, if you’re looking for that happy medium feel, something with a little more bounce, or something a tad bit more breathable, the Providence Hybrid Mattress may be an even better choice for you.
The Providence Hybrid Mattress
While there is some overlap with the above Cloudland 2.0 Foam Mattress on available comfort levels, only the Providence Hybrid offers comfort options in Soft, Firm and Medium. However, the single most significant difference in design is the Providence Hybrid Mattress’ encased coil system. By adding these independently-wrapped spring coils, the Providence Mattress can offer sleepers a much more responsive feel and greatly improved edge support.
All Providence Hybrid Mattress models include the cooling stretch-knit performance fabric cover, gel-memory foam layer, and pressure-relieving copper-infused Perpetua latex foam layer mentioned previously. Similar to the Cloudland 2.0 Foam Mattress, the Providence Hybrid has some minor variations between the different comfort level models. For instance, the Medium and Firm Providence Hybrids include an extra layer of medium-firm base foam just above the encased coils, while the Soft and Medium both include extra layers of advanced air-cushioning memory foam and high-density memory foam.
How does this translate to you, the sleeper? Well, the Providence Hybrid Mattress is obviously the better fit for sleepers who prefer the responsive bounce of hybrid or innerspring mattresses, or those who want a Medium feel comfort option. The Providence Hybrid should also sleep ever-so-slightly cooler given the fact that mattresses with spring coils are naturally more breathable. However, if you prefer that body-conforming sink-into-the-mattress feel of memory foam, really soft pillow tops, or superior motion isolation, we’d recommend the gel memory foam Cloudland 2.0 mattress instead.
