Regardless of what you’re shopping for, comparisons are a big part of the buying process. Do I want this one, or that one? What features does Brand A offer me that Brand B doesn’t? What are the pros and cons, benefits and weaknesses of each? Today’s short article is a reference guide to help you along that journey.
Mattress warranties and in-home sleep trials are additional factors consumers find themselves pondering beyond the mere feel of a mattress in the store. That’s why we’re giving our shoppers a rundown of the warranties and sleep trial policies for each mattress brand we carry. So if you’re researching mattress manufacturer warranties, you're in the right place! Below you’ll find a transparent, brand-by-brand breakdown to help you make the best choice for you.
A Few Notes on Mattress Warranties, Sleep Trials & Returns
But first, it is important to note that not all manufacturer’s warranties are created equal, even ones that share features such as similar term lengths. Neither do these warranties usually extend beyond the original purchaser.
Additionally, please remember that manufacturer’s warranties are often limited to specific and measurable defects in materials and workmanship, not things like regular wear and tear. In fact, for most mattress warranties, something as small as a stain or two can be a disqualifying factor. For instance, even our own Comfort Guarantee requires a purchase of a mattress protector to qualify.
Exactly what is covered, to what degree, and for how long, is dependent upon each manufacturer. As a result, we encourage you to read the warranties and all the fine print for yourselves. That’s why we’ve linked to the warranty pages for each of the manufacturers below where available, so that you can read their warranty policies first-hand.
Keep in mind that while virtually all mattress makers offer consumers a manufacturer’s warranty of some sort, not all mattress brands offer a manufacturer-backed sleep trial. In such cases, the trial period – or lack thereof – often depends on the retailer’s return policy, like our own Comfort Guarantee.
