FAQ: Do Y'all Carry La-Z-Boy Furniture?

For most people, furniture is a pretty big purchase. In fact, aside from a house or car, home furnishings are among the largest purchases many people will ever make. With big ticket items come lots of questions – and we love to answer them for our customers! “Do y’all carry La-Z-Boy furniture?” is one we’re asked all the time. La-Z-Boy is quite literally a household name just like Kleenex, Band-Aid or Google. So it’s no surprise that our customers ask us about La-Z-Boy frequently. And although the answer is technically no, that’s only when it comes to seeing the name La-Z-Boy in our showroom.

La-Z-Boy owns some of the best furniture companies in the industry and we are proud to carry many of them. American Drew, England, Hammary and Kincaid Furniture are some of the premium brands owned by La-Z-Boy  – and Woodstock Furniture & Mattress Outlet is happy to offer them to our customers!

Our Family of La-Z-Boy Furniture Brands

La-Z-Boy began way back in 1927 as a joint venture between two cousins. After humble beginnings making chairs in their small garage, Edwin Shoemaker and Edward Knabusch went on to invent and popularize the recliner as we know it today. Eventually, La-Z-Boy began making much more than just recliners. Now you can find La-Z-Boy sectionals, loveseats, chairs, sofas and more in addition to La-Z-Boy recliners.

After almost a century of business, the La-Z-Boy family of brands has now expanded to include stationary upholstered furniture, as well as casegoods (non-upholstered furniture like bedroom sets, dining room furniture, etc.). Each brand under the La-Z-Boy umbrella specializes in their own area of expertise, and every piece is still designed right here in America.

While Woodstock Furniture & Mattress Outlet doesn’t carry La-Z-Boy branded furniture, we do carry furniture from these La-Z-Boy furniture brands:

England Furniture

Operating as an independent division of La-Z-Boy since 1995, England Furniture specializes in high quality upholstered living room furniture. This includes both motion furniture like recliners and reclining sofas, as well as stationary sectionals, sofas, loveseats and accent chairs. If you’ve been reading the WFMO blog for a while, England is a name you’ll likely recognize. As recently as this February, we talked extensively about England’s superior construction process.

However, where England really shines is their custom, made-to-order furniture. With over 200 frames and 500 fabrics to choose from, England’s unique order process makes it easy to deliver exactly what customers want. But that’s not all. England has the shortest build cycle in the industry. And with their factory just next door in Tennessee, we will have your furniture delivered to your home in no time!

Kincaid Furniture

Kincaid Furniture has been a member of the La-Z-Boy family since 1988. Compared to England, Kincaid offers a broader catalogue that includes like casegoods like occasional tables and bedroom furniture, in addition to stationary upholstered living room furniture.

While we all bemoan the fact that “they don’t make things like they used to”, Kincaid prides themselves on doing things the old-fashioned way. Kincaid makes their furniture with the same craftsmanship and attention to detail as when they were founded in 1946. This includes premium features like 8-way hand-tied sofa springs, solid wood construction, English dovetail joints, and hand-rubbed finishes. On top of that, they offer custom upholstery options as well! In other words, Kincaid builds some of the most durable, hand-crafted furniture on the market today.

American Drew & Hammary

The last two La-Z-Boy brands we’ll be discussing today are American Drew and Hammary. American Drew has been in the furniture business since 1927, while Hammary has been building furniture since 1943. Both of these well-established companies have been a part of the La-Z-Boy family for over 20 years. Where England and Kincaid focus largely on upholstered furniture, both American Drew and Hammary focus exclusively on casegoods.

American Drew is best known as an affordable yet quality producer of dining room, bedroom, and living room casegoods. Their lineup includes everything from dining room tables, servers, beds, dressers and nightstands, to desks for your home office. Their catalog spans a broad variety of styles from traditional to modern.

As for Hammary, their own journey began in earnest with the manufacture of occasional tables – coffee tables, end tables, sofa tables, etc. From there, they expanded into home office, accent furniture, entertainment pieces, and counter & bar tables. Today, Hammary serves as La-Z-Boy’s arm for accents and odds-and-ends for your family room, living area and home office.

While it’s true that WFMO doesn’t currently stock the full catalog of Hammary or American Drew products, feel free to come to our Woodstock/Acworth, Dallas/Hiram and Rome stores to shop our available pieces. Even if we don’t have exactly what you’re looking for, we can likely order it for you!
