Shopping for the latest DreamCloud mattresses in 2022? If so, you’ve come to the right place for info! Join us for Woodstock Furniture & Mattress Outlet’s own DreamCloud mattress reviews comparing and contrasting The DreamCloud, DreamCloud Premier, and DreamCloud Premier Rest mattresses.
In 2020, DreamCloud announced that they’d shuffled up their mattress line by adding the DreamCloud Premier. Since then, they’ve made another addition – the DreamCloud Premier Rest.
Up until recently, there hasn’t been a whole lot of detailed information available online, especially about the DreamCloud Premier Rest. That’s why we’re weighing in today. By the end of this short DreamCloud mattress review, you’ll have a great idea if one of these DreamCloud mattresses is right for you!
DreamCloud Mattress Reviews for 2022: Introducing The Current Lineup
While the current lineup for 2022 includes three mattresses, DreamCloud originally only offered one mattress. The name? You guessed it – The DreamCloud. Over time, the original DreamCloud evolved into the three mattresses you see today. First they added the DreamCloud Premier in 2020. Now they’ve unveiled a new hybrid mattress that is even more plush and luxurious than the Premier, named the DreamCloud Premier Rest.
“So, which DreamCloud mattress is right for me?” Our goal by the end of this article is to hopefully help you answer that question! While each DreamCloud mattress is unique, all three models share several features. Our 2022 DreamCloud mattress reviews will go over each of these features as well as their differences.
As a quick disclaimer, please remember that the “feel” of a mattress is dependent on the individual sleeper. For instance, a 250lb sleeper may sink into a mattress differently than another who weighs 125lbs. This can cause people to have different perceptions about the same exact mattress. For that reason, we find that our own customers have the best mattress shopping experience when they try the mattresses out in person. Ultimately, the only one who can truly decide which mattress is best for you – is you!
A Brief Side Note: DreamCloud vs Nectar
If you joined us previously for our 2022 Nectar Mattress Review, something here may seem familiar. That’s because how these DreamCloud mattresses are named is borrowed from DreamCloud’s sister company, Nectar Sleep. In Nectar’s case, their lineup includes a base model (Nectar Classic), a mid-tier (Nectar Premier), and a top-end model (Nectar Premier Copper).
That being said, Nectar and DreamCloud are very different mattresses. Nectar makes high quality memory foam mattresses, while DreamCloud exclusively makes luxury hybrid mattresses. So why do shoppers frequently compare them? Well, our own customers occasionally ask if Nectar makes any hybrid models. While the answer is technically “no”, that’s exactly where DreamCloud comes in!
DreamCloud vs DreamCloud Premier vs DreamCloud Premier Rest
Before we dig into our DreamCloud mattress reviews and comparisons, remember that all three models are premium, high-quality hybrid mattresses sold at a value price.
Every single DreamCloud mattress is backed by an incredible, 365-night trial period – just like their mattress cousins over at Nectar Sleep. In other words, you can try a DreamCloud, Premier or Premier Rest mattress in your home, and return it after 364 nights if you aren’t satisfied. There are few, if any, guarantees this solid elsewhere in the mattress industry. On top of that, each mattress also carries a lifetime warranty!
Additionally, all DreamCloud mattresses are a breeze to ship, deliver, or pickup. Unlike some other hybrid mattresses, your DreamCloud will come in a nifty, convenient box just like many of the memory foam mattresses on the market. This means that customers have the flexibility to buy online if they choose. However, you can also visit a number of mattress stores (like us) to try, buy and pick up your mattress if you want to check it out first.
Lastly, all DreamCloud mattresses consist of the same general hybrid mattress construction. From bottom to top, each mattress sits on a layer of base foam, followed by 8.5 inches of pocketed innerspring coils, followed by various memory foam layers, with an amazingly soft, breathable, quilted cashmere cover on top. As we’ll discuss below, you’ll find nearly all of the real differences between the DreamCloud, Premier and Premier Rest in the top half of the mattress nestled between the pocketed coils and the luxurious cashmere blend cover.
It’s time to break things down further. Let’s check out the basic DreamCloud and the Premier side by side. Then we’ll finish by comparing the DreamCloud Premier and Premier Rest.
DreamCloud vs DreamCloud Premier
At 14 inches thick, the DreamCloud mattress has the fewest layers, fewest frills, and simplest design of DreamCloud’s lineup. The five layers of the DreamCloud mattress include a quilted cashmere and foam cover, a gel memory foam layer, a firm foam transition layer, followed by pocketed coils and a base foam layer. Overall, this gives the DreamCloud a hybrid feel that combines the plush softness of memory foam with the responsiveness of an innerspring mattress.
While the DreamCloud Premier mattress is 14 inches thick as well, it has a slightly different build. As a Euro top hybrid mattress, the gel memory foam comfort layer in the DreamCloud has been replaced by two distinct Euro top layers. First is the cradle layer, made of high-loft memory foam. The second is the Euro top support layer, made of soft yet supportive foam. These layers combine to give sleepers a much more plush feel.
The verdict? Both are great mattresses! The DreamCloud hybrid delivers a blended feel of memory foam and innerspring coils that one would expect from a luxury hybrid mattress. However, the DreamCloud Premier feels a touch softer thanks to the plush foam in the Euro top construction. Of course, the DreamCloud mattress is the more affordable option and thus a better fit for budget shoppers. Here at Woodstock Furniture & Mattress Outlet, the base DreamCloud mattress starts at $999 for a queen size, while the DreamCloud Premier is priced at $1,399.
DreamCloud Premier vs DreamCloud Premier Rest
So what about the brand new DreamCloud Premier Rest? How is it different than the DreamCloud Premier above? To put it simply, it takes the improvements of the Premier, and cranks them up yet another notch. Yes, it’s true that the Premier Rest is the most expensive DreamCloud at $1,599 for a queen size mattress. But as a hybrid pillow top mattress, it also more than lives up to its luxury hybrid mattress description.
Unlike the Premier, the Premier Rest is very thick at 16 inches. The extra thickness comes from the addition of a pillow top and yet another 2 inches of support foam, for seven layers total. This layer provides additional support, but it also puts more space between sleepers and the pocketed support coils below. Between the thick array of plush memory foams and its elegant blended cashmere cover, the DreamCloud Premier Rest is undisputedly the most plush, luxurious, and cloud-like of the entire DreamCloud lineup.
This mattress takes the amazing support of innerspring coils and firm support foam, and adds a plush pillow top for a unique sleeping experience. If you are a sleeper who likes pillow top mattresses that you can really sink into, the DreamCloud Premier Rest just might be the perfect mattress for you!
