Local Flavor: Our Favorite Local Restaurants in Marietta (Reviews/Ratings)

It’s no secret that Marietta is full of charm, history, and perhaps most importantly – good food. With our flagship furniture and mattress store just up I-75 between Woodstock and Acworth, many of our team members live, eat, and spend plenty of their personal lives in Marietta. That’s why we’ve rounded up some of their favorite spots to eat around town. If you’re nearby for shopping, a day trip, or just on the hunt for your next meal, this edition of Local Flavor has you covered.

Our Favorite Local Restaurants in Marietta

The Marietta Square might be the most well-known part of town, but there’s fantastic food all over the city. Whether it’s classic Southern meat-and-three-veggies, European cafés, classic diners, or neighborhood pizzerias, you’re never far from a good meal.

And with several of our furniture and mattress stores pretty close by, we get lots of requests for recommendations. So whether you’re in Marietta to shop with us, because you live here, or to just enjoy the day, this alphabetical list of local favorites will help you eat like a local – because our team eats here too!

El Pollo Dorado

If you’re craving something bold, flavorful and Mexican-inspired, El Pollo Dorado is the kind of hidden gem that Marietta locals love. This no-frills, family-run spot is known for its smoky, citrus-marinated grilled chicken cooked right over open flame. Their famous chicken – paired with rice, beans, fresh tortillas, and their house-made homemade salsa – is what keeps folks coming back.

WIth a straight-forward, streamlined menu, Pollo Dorado is all about simple food done incredibly well. Hit the drive-thru, grab it to-go, or dine-in – just be sure to show up hungry. If you’re looking for something a bit closer to our Woodstock/Acworth showroom or Customer Pickup they’ve got a location in Acworth, in addition to a location only a mile or so from Downtown Roswell.

Hoboken Café on Whitlock

A cozy, neighborhood gem a little more than a mile from Marietta Square, Hoboken Café is a highly-rated local spot that serves up hearty Italian-American subs and classic dishes that you'd otherwise have to travel to Italy for (or at least New Jersey). Folks come here from all over Metro Atlanta to enjoy a variety of authentic Italian classics in a casual, family-friendly space. Whether you’re in the mood for a cold cut, a piping hot meatball or chicken parmesan sub, a caprese or burrata salad, eggplant parmesan, or just a fresh-made cannoli or cheesecake made from scratch, it’s all prepared with care with generous portions.

The relaxed vibe makes it perfect for a quick lunch break during a shopping trip or a laid-back late lunch / early dinner with the fam. With friendly service and classic flavors, Hoboken Café feels like that comforting spot you love to return to again and again. Open daily Tuesday through Saturday, 11am to 4pm.

It’s Greek to Us

For authentic dishes bursting with Mediterranean flavor, It’s Greek to Us offers brilliant Greek cooking with flair. Savor staples like gyros, spanakopita, moussaka and fresh tzatziki sauce — all prepared with fresh ingredients and rich traditions. The generous portions and homemade touches make it feel like a meal made by your Greek friend next door.

Throw in bright, inviting décor and warm service, and it’s a welcome stop whether you’re swinging by for a weekday lunch or a relaxed weekend dinner. It’s your passport to the Greek Isles, right here in the heart of Marietta.

Jerusalem Bakery & Grill

This family-run local Metro Atlanta restaurant chain is a go-to for flavorful Middle Eastern and Mediterranean fare that’s both authentic and approachable (and fantastic, if you ask our opinion). If you're a big fan of shawarma — or if you're looking for somewhere to try a shawarma plate or wrap — Jerusalem Bakery will make you a fan, guaranteed. Hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, tabouleh salad, grilled kebabs, fresh pita, and bold dips round out their authentic menu — all made from scratch and served in a friendly, bright setting. Every dish dazzles with savory spices and home-cooked charm.

Perfect for healthy grab-and-go lunches, lunch with friends or coworkers, or relaxed dine-in meals with the family, Jerusalem Bakery & Grill stands out thanks to its care, consistency, affordability and welcoming atmosphere. Even regulars at Jerusalem Bakery feel like guests in a friend’s kitchen. In addition to their restaurant in Marietta, they also have locations in Roswell and Alpharetta.

Kiosco Marietta Square

Right in the heart of Marietta Square, Kiosco brings chef-driven Mediterranean-inspired cuisine to town with flair. And they must be doing something right, because this is quite possibly the highest rated restaurant in town. Bite into appetizers like zucchini fritters, eggplant chips, or flatbread pizzas that feel fresh, flavorful, and perfect for grazing between shopping and exploring downtown Marietta. Or dive a little deeper and try the lamb kofta skewers, pesto rigatoni chicken, meatballs with orzo, or spinach roasted seabass. The menu isn't huge, but instead focuses on simple yet refined food that’s easy to love.

Kiosco is an ideal spot for a memorable lunch date, lunch with old friends, or simply a break whether you're out sightseeing or running errands. With a friendly staff and colorful atmosphere, Kiosco lives up to the hype and the spirit of its downtown Marietta location.

Mac’s Chophouse

Looking for an unforgettable steakhouse experience? Mac’s Chophouse offers a unique blend of fine dining and upscale casual dining all under one roof. The sophisticated setting, complete with leather booths and tasteful lighting, makes it ideal for special nights out or celebrations. For special events and celebrations on an even larger scale, Mac's Chophouse also offers private event spaces for anywhere between 14 and 90 guests.

Marietta Diner

A true hometown staple, the Marietta Diner has been around for years and consistently serves top-notch American, Greek and Italian diner classics, all day, every day. And by all day, every day, we mean 24/7. The menu is absolutely huge and includes pretty much anything and everything you can imagine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. From fluffy pancakes and omelets in the morning to gyros, burgers, and deli sandwiches later on, to steaks, seafood, pasta and more for dinner, there’s a timeless familiarity to every dish. Oh and the dessert case is dangerous — if you're counting calories that is.

Marietta Diner's food is consistently excellent, no matter the time of day. So much so, that they've received countless awards and accolades, including features on Food Network and visits from the likes of celebrity chef Guy Fieri. The retro interior and top-tier service create a friendly, nostalgic vibe that makes every meal feel like a treat. Whether you’re fueling up for a busy day or winding down midday, or looking for a place that is always open, this classic diner doesn't disappoint. Don't miss the next entry on Marietta's best restaurants, Marietta Diner's sister-restaurant Marietta Fish Market...

Marietta Fish Market

Marietta Fish Market is widely regarded as one of the best seafood restaurants in Metro Atlanta. And we happen to agree! There are very few places to get truly fresh seafood in North Georgia. Fortunately for us, Marietta Fish Market is only a short drive away! Between the atmosphere, the large portions, the fresh seafood, the made-from-scratch desserts, and the great service, dining at Marietta Fish Market is truly a wonderful experience. They are open for lunch on Saturday/Sunday, and for dinner seven days a week. If you haven’t been, you really need to go!

While they’re not all technically on today’s list (other than Marietta Diner above), it’d feel wrong to not at least give a honorary mentions to Marietta Fish Market’s other nearby sister restaurants – Pasta Bella, Cherokee Chophouse, and Yeero Village (with two locations, with one midway between Woodstock and Roswell and the other in Lawrenceville). Between them, you’ll find some of the best pasta, steaks, and Greek cuisine in Georgia.

Marietta Melt Yard

If you believe there’s no such thing as too much cheese, Marietta Melt Yard is about to become your new happy place. This laid-back retro-inspired eatery specializes in over-the-top grilled cheese, patty melts, burgers and other sandwiches piled high with melty cheese and creative toppings. Every bite is indulgent, melty goodness, served up with crispy fries, tater tots, or a cup of tomato soup for dipping.

The atmosphere is a welcoming casual hangout, perfect for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends or family. The vintage van turned into a bar, tons of pinball and arcade machines, and TVs playing retro sports and music videos make for a really cool and unique vibe.

Mezza Luna Pasta & Seafood

Bright, bold, and full of flavor, Mezza Luna specializes in Italian seafood dishes that are fresh and authentic. From shrimp linguine, to risotto with mussels, clams or calamari, to pesto gnocchi with blue crab, each plate is thoughtfully prepared and elegantly presented.

White tablecloths, an intimate dining room and calm atmosphere make it a delightful dinner destination. Perfect for a date night or zesty meal with friends and family, Mezza Luna offers flavors that will leave a lasting impression.

The Red Eyed Mule

This local favorite has drawn national attention with appearances on Food Network, so you know it's the real deal. With hometown charm, an open kitchen and an intimate diner-style setup, The Red Eyed Mule stands out with hearty breakfast and lunch dishes that satisfy every time. Omelets, breakfast burritos, and waffles share the spotlight with sandwiches and salads that feel homemade and honest. If you're there at lunch time, definitely give one of their famous burgers a go, like the Jake's Sloppy Slaw Burger or Jake's Big Daddy.

The energetic vibe, friendly service, and quality ingredients make The Red Eyed Mule a favorite for locals and out-of-town visitors alike. Stop by after that furniture shopping trip or mattress test drive — we think you'll be glad that you did!

Silla Del Toro

This modern Spanish-inspired tapas bar is one of the best rated restaurants on Marietta Square, hands-down. Their traditional tapas menu and extensive selection of over 40 different Spanish wines highlight this trendy downtown spot. Whether you’re digging into empanadas, gazpacho, albondigas, or authentic tortillas, or sipping on a flight of their house-made sangrias or one of their cocktail creations, Silla Del Toro is the closest you'll get to the Iberian Peninsula here in Metro Atlanta.

The cozy, European contemporary dining area and professional staff set the stage for both classy date nights and drinks with friends or colleagues. If you're ITP, check out their Toco Hills location in Atlanta, or if you live up GA-400, be sure to check out their location in Downtown Roswell.

Spring Restaurant

A standout in Marietta’s dining scene and proud recipient of a coveted and prestigious Michelin Star, Spring serves seasonal, chef-curated dishes in an intimate, minimalist setting. Dishes are intricately put together to highlight quality ingredients without overshadowing them. The rotating menu keeps things fresh and exciting.

There’s something delightful about sinking your teeth into a juicy burger or tender rack of ribs at Stockyard. With its laid-back ambiance and hearty menu of smoked and grilled meats and all-American sides, it tastes like a backyard barbecue but with all the trappings and polish of an upscale restaurant.

Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a flavorful gathering of friends or family, Stockyard Burgers & Bones serves up both comfort, flavor and flair.

Taqueria Tsunami

This unassuming Latin-Asian fusion taco joint brings fresh, unique cuisine to Marietta with flavors that are both unexpected but suprisingly approachable. Their vibrant salsa bar, Asian seasonings and tender meats (carne asada, shrimp, fish and more) keep their entire menu bold and satisfying. The fun and contemporary atmosphere and welcoming staff create a friendly, no-fuss dining experience.

Ideal for a bite for lunch or a casual dinner with friends, Taqueria Tsunami offers gourmet flavors without an outrageously gourmet price tag. With a total of 9 locations across North Georgia, including 6 in Metro Atlanta, 1 in Gainesville and 2 in Athens, there's sure to be a Taqueria Tsunami in your neck of the woods.
